WiSensys®: a wireless, easy to install, ready to use sensing system with data logging capability for accurately measuring, securely transmitting and logging temperature and humidity conditions.
The system can be used in a large variety of applications where monitoring of environmental conditions is required. These applications range from building automation, food quality control, monitoring of laboratory environmental conditions etc. Below are some examples where WiSensys® can make a difference.
Food
Whether in retail, wholesale or distribution sector, monitoring of temperature of food products is vital to the quality.
With WiSensys® installed, a retailer easily collects temperature data from refrigerator cabinets on a regular basis. The WiSensys® WS-DLTi sensor measures and transmits the temperature with predefined intervals to the WS-BU base station. The base station either logs the data for later retrieval or forwards the data immediately to a PC. The retailer can at any time view the data real-time and graphically on the PC or can use the data stored on the PC as evidence during a quality audit.
WS-DLTi can locally store up to 10.000 measurements in non-volatile memory. This storage is used when a connection to the base station is not available to ensure that measurements are not lost. Whenever the sensor and base station are in range again, the data is transmitted to the base station and can be used for further quality control.
Industrial
The temperature of processes and machinery needs to be monitored in the industry. WiSensys® WS-DLTa temperature sensors can be installed when monitoring processes with temperatures up to 200°C. An applicable Pt100 or Pt1000 sensor has to be selected.
Building automation
Increased demands in environmental conditions in buildings require the need for measuring temperature and humidity conditions. The combined temperature and humidity sensor WS-DLTc can be installed in any location where data needs to be collected, either temporarily or continuously. If the coverage area of 1 base station is not enough, upto 2 additional base stations can be added to increase the coverage area. All base stations can be networked to be able to collect all measurement data on 1 location.
Agriculture
Humidity and temperature conditions in greenhouses are easily measured with WiSensys®. WS-DLTc sensors can be distributed all over the greenhouse. The free line-of-sight range of 1000m between sensor and base station ensures coverage in the entire greenhouse. If the base station is located outside the greenhouse, an external antenna can be used to extend the range between sensor and base station.
